Microchipping of cats and dogs...

Microchipping Service

From April 2016 the microchipping of dogs becomes a legal requirement as the Microchipping of Dogs (England) Regulations 2014 becomes active. This regulation will be enforced by local Authorities, Police, Community Support Officers and any other person which the secretary of state may authorise to act as an enforcer of the regulations.

From the 6th April 2016, all dogs must be microchipped and registered to an approved database by the time they are 8 weeks old. For every dog that is currently not chipped , you will have until the 6th April 2016 to get your dog microchipped and registered on an approved database.

We can microchip puppies and litters from the age of 6 weeks old, but to comply with the new regulations they have to be chipped and registered before they reach 8 weeks of age.

Our microchipping service is flexible and as we come to you it takes all the stress out of organising a trip to the vet or a Microchip implanter for your dog/ cat or litter. Ensuring that the experience is a positive one for your pet.

Discounts are available for litters or groups of dogs and/ or cats.

We cover the whole of Dorset but will charge a small milage allowance if you are more than 10 miles from Dorchester.

We offer both the Micro and standard Microchip, depending on your dogs size. Cats will always be chipped using the new smaller Microchip.

For more information and to book your microchipping appointment please contact me via email or phone 07896 275357.
